Chalet Powder White

With its stone and wood façade, Chalet Cosy looks every inch the traditional mountain cabin. But step through the door and you’re immediately transported to another world altogether. The golden rabbits and silver chess pieces artfully arranged on the shelves are a knowing nod to the adventures of Alice through the looking glass. A spectacular lampshade resembling a torrent of raindrops casts light over the vast wooden dining table and its elegant black chairs. A candy-pink canvas brings a splash of colour to the wood-panelled walls. Upstairs, the cosy bedrooms are just perfect for curling up amid a mountain of velvet cushions and fur blankets.

In the winter, strap on your skis and explore Courchevel’s 150 km of ski slopes. In the summer months, visit the Lac du Praz for horseback riding and fly-fishing. Back at Chalet White, plunge into the turquoise waters of the indoor pool with its enchanted forest décor. After dark, tuck into a Savoyard fondue with truffles at the irresistibly-welcoming Table de mon Grand-Père, just next to the chalet.
