Several centuries have passed since the warrior Hannibal undertook to cross the Alps and conquer their peaks in order to reach ancient Rome, his sworn enemy. Everything about these mountains, however, inspires you to savour the majestic scenery they offer rather than consider them as an obstacle to be passed. The green forests covering the slopes become tinged with a crystal white under the first snow of winter, and at these times the roofs of the village of Courchevel melt into the natural purity of the surrounding scenery, leaving visible, here and there, the friendly, welcoming and typically Savoie style wooden façades. When the first rays of morning light appear over the summits, the terraces and walls of the chalet, whose wood comes from the region's barns and farms, begin to warm in the sun, whilst the snow, accumulated on the roofs and gardens, maintains the house in its silky cocoon.

Sheltered from the rigours of the climate, the vast lounge offers stunning views over the Alps, its wide picture windows presenting a scene no painter could hope to match. Bright, clear light thus floods this living area, where the rustic appearance of wood allies with the modernity of pastel-shaded furniture, and invites conviviality in the immediately proximate space around the fireplace, where a large L-shaped sofa is installed. At the table in the dining area, with its open-plan kitchen, or next to the bar, but also in the cinema room or in the jacuzzi, leisure and sharing are the order of the day; whilst the five bedrooms, offering a combination of comfort and authentic charm, guarantee privacy for each guest.

All are equipped with private bathrooms, and the master bedroom, just like the double bedroom and the one equipped with bunk beds, is well-equipped for leisure and relaxation: a comfortable bed, a television, a terrace looking out over the mountains, and not forgetting the bed linen, which is a veritable invitation to soft, gentle repose.
